How to convert a spreadsheet of coordinates
Copy the columns from Excel, LibreOffice or Google Sheets and paste them above, or upload a CSV or XLSX file. The header is detected and the latitude and longitude columns are suggested. For UTM or a national grid, pick the easting and northing columns and give the zone if it is not in the sheet.
Tick the output formats and download. The CSV keeps your original columns and adds the converted ones; KML opens in Google Earth, GPX goes to GPS units and GeoJSON loads straight into QGIS.
Privacy
The conversion runs entirely in your browser. The file is never uploaded, so client and property data stay on your computer.
We count visits anonymously with Umami, without cookies: only the page, the referring site, the approximate location, the language, the browser, the operating system and the device type are recorded. The coordinates and data you type are never sent.
Visits are counted with Google Analytics, which stores cookies in your browser and receives the page address without coordinates. What you type, convert or upload is not sent to it.
Frequently asked questions
How many rows can I convert?
Thousands. The limit is the browser's memory; 10,000 points convert in a few seconds on an ordinary laptop.
My sheet uses comma decimals. Does it work?
Yes. Files with comma decimals usually separate columns with semicolons or tabs, and both are recognised.
